This edition 30 was for sale in the for sale section and sold with mileage of 119k and now has clearly had a trim as is now on 97k..... Busted!!

It's tuned by R-Tech (or R-Tec as the owner & Janner Sy call them )
Wonder if Niki knows whos selling. . . NAME & SHAME
-
Who's to say this is just a genuine error? There's no picture of the odometer
-
Reg is blocked up too so no way of checking with vosa mot records unless you ask for the full reg...
Edit, unless you find it inthe for sale section?

No errors made just a dodgy car clocking sh*te hawk, aaaand you'll be paying an extra £1200 for the privilege

Report it: http://ocs.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ReportItemMember&items=111064775883&seller=tdi666bhp&active=1&state=1
-
I think the reg s DE08 NUK...
-
Just to clarify Hogster has nothing to do with this as he sold it fair and square, probably the last MOT will be somewhere close to 97k, I'd put money on it!
-
The reg checks out as an edition 30 in black. Can't check any further without the v5 details.
-
100% same look at the gear knob plus it says bill at 90k for cam belt on both ads the dodgy barstewardss
-
should be reported to trading standards
they have other cars for sale, no doubt they have had the same.
-
I've dent them a msg asking them for the mot doc number so I can do a check for piece of mind. As I am travelling along way. I await the outcome and will report back. :happy2:
-
Very close to me, shall i go take a look and have a laugh :signLOL:
-
The original seller should contact Trading Standards asap , these cases are always difficult to prove but with the Details of the advert on here and this ebay ad and to then check the car is showing 97k would make it nearly watertight . The Advantage of checkable mot history now , previously clocking was easy .
Hogster get in there quick :happy2:
-
I messaged the seller to enquire about the slight mileage discrepancy; response was: fcuk yourself ar*hole. Nice!
-
...however, 10 mins later the text on the advert no longer refers to 97k, and the info at the top now states 119k!
-
Result, bet the other cars he is selling have had dodgy mileage
-

Haha bet they're kacking themselves now, someone should still report them though, might be worth an unannouced visit of the trading stds.

 How did you word the message?
-
Still says 97k In the add and 119k on the other part of the add

The more peeps that report this to ebay the quicker it will be taken down. Is it on Piston heads / AT too? Don't mind spending a few mins reporting it on each site it goes on... f*ck him, the scamming little sh!te :fighting:
-
Cant see it on Pistonheads
-
must be a forum member as he has changed the advert :rolleye:
-
Hi there, been keeping an eye on this listing and I notice orginally the car was listed as having 97,000 on the clock... I notice this has changed to 119,000 miles now, Could you clarify this please as I don't see how it could be a typo?
Many thanks
Just sent this on the bay for complete sh*ts & giggles.... :signLOL:

eBay seller has other car listings
No doubt dodgy as well
Wander how much he got the ed30 for and profiting from it
-
Also noticed its a golf Gti 3 aniversary not a 30th :signLOL:
-
WOW!!
Only just seen this, to confirm I sold it to a guy in Bradford for £6800 with 120k on it (he didn't want me to MOT it) weird that!!
To confirm the reg is DE08 NUK.
-
Amazing what a google search of the reg can show up! This car is back for sale on ebay. Doesn't look like a Miltek exhaust to me either.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2008-VOLKSWAGEN-GOLF-GTI-EDITION30-230-BLACK-/201283524587?
Sorry to bump an old thread but may help someone out
-
Dodgy f*ckers.
Also it's on 120,000 miles now so it's gonna be on at least 140,000 miles.
Heavy that.
-
Different seller as well..
May be batting it between people to confuse and loose it....
-
That's what happens to hide any discrepancy as the finger cannot be pointed at just one person.
-
A similar thing happened to me. I part exed my polo with some service stamps and no paperwork (although all services completed) it was then posted on their website with full service history and all stamps in the book.
-
Bought a car from bradford about 7 years ago, never would again some dodgy people up there lol

Dragging up an old post here, but was looking at my post history. DE08NUK was an ED30 that had been clocked back from 119k to 97k. A quick Google search suggests it's had no better luck since....clocked again (numerous times) and now at around 52k miles :fighting:
April 2013: 119k
April 2014: 110k
May 2015: 70k
May 2016: 52k
-
Yep, says it all really

That's a good facility - how do you get that?
-
It's called "MOT Check" on the UK Apple App Store. Quite useful for a quick lookup and to quickly check when you or your family have MOTs coming up :)
It's not perfect, but not a bad little app.
