I purchased an Edition 30 front splitter off a guy on Facebook for £50 as it has a crack in it. Looking around I can't seem to find a part number on it anywhere. I was assured it was genuine before purchasing. I found an image of where the part number is located and I THINK I can see a VW logo but I can't be sure. It is ABS plastic and it has the same orange paint on the inside that the one in the picture I found did.
My question is this; would the part number be likely to wear away and are there any other signs I can look for to see if it is genuine?

Does it fit? That's a good sign that its genuine.

I won't know for a month. The body shop needs to paint and fit it...he says getting the standard GTi one off and on was hard. It has been fitted, I can see that much...

Get some pictures up is all i can suggest. TBH. £50 is cheap and sometimes you get what you pay for. The bullsh*t just comes free :ashamed:

This is what was on the back on mine when I had it off.

Yeah I found that picture. I compared it to mine and I couldn't see all the markings. I had my front bumper off today (first time doing that, and it was very, very easy) and fitted the splitter. Fitted perfectly, so I guess that answers that question. Thanks for your help anyway :drinking:
