Title: Starting
Post by: Rustybear on May 05, 2013, 08:22:27 am
Lately my motor seems to take longer to start, not as instant as before and seems to a little noisy. Serviced by vw 2k ago and has 101k. Any others experienced this?

My car has a laboured start, sounds like the same issue. It's been doing it for over a year. I put it down to the starter motor or solenoid which is slowly dying. I had my battery voltage checked and it seemed ok.

I haven't done anything about it.

Mine was doing this for a while, however after changing my camfollower it's been great, instant starts... Not sure if it can be related, but that's the only thing I changed... it wasn't changed to remedy this but as a service item.

At 101k I'd be looking at doing the CF anyway if you haven't already. :happy2:
