Engine wise you will get around 360ishbhp. A lot of those won't get you any more power, just a bit of engine bay bling :happy2:
The S3 engine with a decat downpipe, APR fuel pump, THS intercooler, uprated LPFP and Water meth will nudge 400bhp and 460lb/ft with a decent map (GIAC or R-Tech :scared: I think are the only ones who can give you that result currently)

You can't post this without pics mate...
btw welcome to the forums.

I know fella I'm trying lol. I used photobucket on the VXROnline forum is it the same on here or is there something I need to know???
Thanks mate - Glad to be here :happy2:

Been looking at the Garret gt40 Turbo aswell???

Been looking at the Garret gt40 Turbo aswell???
Why, lag would be horrific!! A GTx28 will net you 450hp-480Hp with the supporting mods. GT30 will tip you into the 500s. Judging by the fact that guys with the Gtx28 stage 3+ setups with every chassis mod under the sun are still struggling with traction, id say any more isnt really needed.
Top Spec on the car there.
Figures will vary between dynos, but expect 340-360hp. Irrelevant of figures though, the K04 stage 2+ setup is proven to hit sub 13 second 1/4 miles with no issues at all(the stage 3 Golf R's are well into the 11s on the strip as well!!), and at the 30-130mile days they are playing with much more powerful Focus RS's and still winning.
Plenty of Dyno's here http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,16977.0.html (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,16977.0.html)
-
There is currently no lag whatsoever fella?/ I'm assuming you mean with the gtx30 turbo or not?? but yep that sounds good to me for both!!
Yep I thought that was about average but evey cars different - Previous experiences and that, ut sounds all god to me.
Thanks for the valued responce mate. What to do?? :surprised:

-
Hi bud welcome too the forum,i was just going to ask if you worked for forge lol

-
wow thatll be crazy speeds! I assume youre taking it down the track at some point?
-
yeah it is rapid.. not sure about track yet lol
-
That's mint, always loved that car. I had a Astra vxr once but yeh. The front plate kinda spoils it!
-
take it you have seen it around then? fellow vxr convert lol, alot people selling up now bud, getting too common and going for not alot of money
-
if you want to push significantly past 360ish you will need wmi or change turbo to Loba perhaps? but beware greater lag on the lo4xx
-

Lol yeh. I had mine for about a year but being a 18 yr old lad at the time I was murdered on insurance and fuel costs were high. I worked hard for it but as you say too common and vxrs generally was another name for chav! Solo true looking at some of mates :p Decent power for cheap though and can look mint. Moved onto a mk4 r32 until the gf broke it for 2 years then my current golf. Love it to bits! :)
Seen your golf at a few shows, not in person but yeh it's lovely. I'm slowly getting to how I want mine to be....plans 360/380. Bet yours is/will be a Porsche killer!
-
yeah it is mate...i thought the VXR was fast at 300bhp , but this is an animal  im looking into upgrading the turbo, going to pop to r=tech to see what magic then can work for me. The previous owner had it at 360 that was before the audi s3 engine was dropped in so be interesting to see what power difference it makes

ahh wicked. No other handling mods apart from those mentioned? Just out of curiousity really! :p My main concern was just spinning with the power but happy days. Your rear lights need lamin X'ing!!
-
no mate just those that are mentioned, more looking into turbo at the min tbh got a few cosmetic mods lined up, rear brake lights are on the list with carbon wrapping inside door handles etc
-
Very nice spec car their fella. You prob should blank out you reg with photoshop or similar tho don't want any unwelcome visitors.

Sweet ride mate! Which mod do you think helped you put the power down most effectively?!

Look even better with the matt black wrap. Great spec car :happy2:
-

Cheers fella. The car already had the mods courtesy of the guy at forge, but compared to my VXR that would spin regardless of road conditions this puts the power down really really well, get hardly any spin, pulls through all the gears
