Title: Upgrading my brakes.
Post by: Biano44 on May 10, 2013, 08:45:53 am
Hi Guys,
I have been slowly putting together all the parts for a brake upgrade on my GT Sport. So far I have managed to get a NQSBBK kit for the front (just waiting for the discs) and yesterday I managed to get Edition 30 rear calipers & carriers (for the bargain price of £80) Dave B is supplying the discs and brake lines but does anybody know the part numbers for the dust shields (or if I even need them) and also the part numbers ( or type ) of new bolts to attach them to my car?
Also, what is the best paint to use on the discs to keep them protected?

All help appreciated......thanks

Matt

Good to see another NQSBBK

It is a great kit.

You dont need to have the dust shields, no problem running the car without them.

For painting the disc to stop the hub going rusty must people use the high temperature brake paint you can get from halfords.

Hi,
I know I don't need the (rear) dust shields but I quite like them so if anyone has the part numbers it would be a real help!
