Been on this forum for a while now and although i am not the most active poster on here I would just like to express how much better this forum is compared to others i am a member on,
I have met some awesome people directly from this forum, Bought some nice bits for the car from here, and through reading all the useful post and private massages have managed to carry out some very nice enhancements to the car.
So for all those i have met, spoke to and PM'd in the past a big thank you,
and to everyone else, thanks for making this a brilliant community to be part of.
P.S. this is not a parting statement you are all still stuck with me.

private massages
No wonder you think it's a great forum! I haven't been offered these - which section are they posted in?
-
:happy2: Is a great forum. Looking forward to our mega meet at inters :driver:
I want to know who has been giving you private massages though  Damn someone beat me to it

I just thought everyone was getting them :ashamed:
You guys should post it in the wanted section. :signLOL:
-
It's the people that make the forum :happy2:
People willing to share advice, experience, good practise and helping to save each other a few £'s is what it's all about :drinking:
As I've said before the Civic Type-R forum is full of Kno8heads which ruin the whole experience  I think the GTI attracts a different type of enthusiast which helps to keep the forum a great place to be :happy2:
-
Completely agree :happy2: I am a member on some other forums but this is the only one I visit daily. Would be lost without it
-
Is there a GB on the private massages? :signLOL:
It's a great forum, saves me loads of money and then helps me spent it (and more) elsewhere.

Agree!
SeatCupra.net was good when I used it, a few years ago now.
BabyBMW.net is full of complete tossers that have a chip on their shoulder cos they drive the runt of the BMW range. ANYTHING negative said about the one series and you'll be shot down in flames! They are blinded by the fact that the car wears a BMW badge on the bonnet and fail to realise that it's not actually that premium.
-
Completely agree

Couldn't agree more, not been on this forum long and the help has been excellent. A great bunch of guys on here :happy2:

Bit harsh as that can be said of any one make forum.

I can't wait for the personal massages, don't get them on Audi-Sport for sure
-
As a noob, all of the sites I have looked at just don't compare ( no offence), I am here everyday loads of great advice
-
Agreed - it's a great forum. I haven't found another for the mk5 with the amount of activity and knowledge that's here.
I do find it a bit quiet, but I guess I am used to ukmkiv's from when I had my mkiv - it is a very active forum, and I'd still be there on the mk5 section, but I think the forum database / script (?!) errors are driving the members mad! I got absolutely fed up with it and haven't logged in for months now...
Great info here, and I log on most days - just need to contribute a bit more!

Nah, I get folk defending their cars if they genuinely think that they are better than another car etc but the majority of the guys on there refuse to accept that there are any issues with the one series lol. For example that the 3 series is a better made car than the one series - anybody with half a brain would be able to figure out that one, its the next model up in the range, and you just have to look at the interiors of both and instantly you can see what is better. As I said, they have a chip on their shoulder because they couldn't afford one of the 'proper' BMWs. I'm not bashing the one series in anyway, it's a great car and I enjoyed owning mine, but the golf is the better car for ME at this moment and time.

This is prob the best forum I have used. Well done

Have also found the forum really helpful, I tend to lurk rather than post away and am finding it a little annoying having to wait till 25 posts to sell something though
