Title: MK2 TT subframe mount/bush
Post by: audiag on May 12, 2013, 12:40:44 pm
Hi Guys,
During some routine inspection on my 2006 A3 BKD I noticed that the rubber bush/mount in the subframe (the one the dogleg from gearbox bolts through) is starting to crack, does anyone know if the TT equivalent is solid or does it also have voids in it ??
Vibratechnics make one but as my soot chucker is no track car I don't want to spend a fortune on it :(
Although it does look like a nice bit of kit

If you fit that to your diesel the vibrations through your car will be unbearable

TT uses the same mount as the mk5.

Cheers Alex :happy2:,
Only pics I could find were subframes from eBay, just wanted someone to confirm,
Ever since my new turbo/gearbox & clutch got fitted I have been getting a rattling sound at 1500-2000rpm and only when Im giving it WOT :sad1:, if I gently nurse it up past 2000rpm I get no rattle :( it's  kind of like a loose heat shield, all shields appear to be tight and the little tin clutch inspection cover is also tight! Driving me mental is an understatement!!! So last time I had it up on ramp the only thing that l didn't look right was the subframe mount which has a few very small cracks in it :(
