Post by: Rhino on May 14, 2013, 08:52:18 pm
minding my own business driving home form work,...and....BANG!
stupid female turning right coming towards me, she decided not to wait for the filter light. god knows how i managed to stop. damage would of been worse. so told insurance company straight away. she was stressed and late for work she said!!
i just hope her admits she was at fault so can get new bumper

Lol @bellios

.

If you've already contacted the insurance company, won't the chance of getting her to settle be too late?

If not, it needs a new bumper (£85 (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FRONT-BUMPER-FOR-VW-MK5-GOLF-GTI-03-09-JETTA-OR-GT-FROM-06-09-/380571085210?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Plat_Gen%3AMK+V&hash=item589bcde99a)) or complete front end (£185 (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/COMPLETE-FRONT-BUMPER-WITH-FOG-LIGHT-FOR-VW-MK5-GOLF-GTI-03-09-JETTA-OR-GT-/150992728066?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Plat_Gen%3AMK+V&hash=item2327de3002)), plus paint (£150) and fitting (Easy DIY, or Garage £100). It'll probably be worth her going through insurance as there is the issue of her own damage to repair too... unless her excess is daft.

As others have said, get on to her asap.., assuming she's not a minger.

If this is through insurance I can guarantee you'll not get a gt bumper. They only fit what came from the factory.

Unfortunately they will only replace the bits that were damaged. They will look to fit the undamaged grilles etc into the new bumper.

But if you don't ask, you don't get!!! What do you have to loose?
