Wish I could say I have had a good day today but no.Some thieving scum decided to steel my mates grills and splitter off his cupra r and damaged my side skirt attempting too steel it of my edition.
The story of it all is the scum bags where parked in a mk5 parked next too mine, as we approached the cars they drove off, immediately I thought they looked dodgy so I checked my car.mat first glance I thought it was ok, then looked around my mates too find the grills and splitter missing. Immediately we thought it was them so we scoured the car looking for them, after a few mns I spotted the grey 04 plate golf! I ran over and shouted them too which he laughed and shouted flip off, with my left hand I grabbed the b pillar of his car whilst he dragged me along the grass I used my right hand too try and grab the keys! But I slipped and fell as the scum nearly ran over my foot and sped off nearly t boning a guy in a black caddy. Whilst this was going on my mate had got too the gate. They approached him and tried too plow him down. Police where informed and statements have been taken. Aparantly the car was registered in Manchester. So too top it off a crap day!!

Reg number of the golf the scum was in was ML05BKG
-
sorry to hear that mate but good you got the reg plate
-
Hate reading when things like that happened.
Normally the vdub community are among some of the nicest people in the world it's dreadful at shows people steal other peoples bits and pieces.. sure they will get their just deserved.
Go post it on UK-Mkivs mate much larger userbase and higher google-rating than here, that number plate when Googled would be 100% top link

Done that mate it's on ukmk4 :happy2:
-
Utter scum

Never known this at a show :surprised:
-
do you want me to put it on a few other forums as well
-
Im really sorry to hear this!
From other peoples comments, im assuming this is from a show? If it is, im truly shocked! What show was it?
If it was an organised show, surely theres a good chance someone would took a photo of the car and occupants?
Most importantly of all, im glad you and your mate are alright and relatively unscathed.. could have been a lot worse than a few replaceable car parts getting nicked :sad1:
Hope the feckers get caught...
Rich
Edit: just seen - its the all types show (i didnt click to the title of the thread.. sorry!)

Same thing happened at All Types last year, Frodo Anni off here had the front splitter stolen off his MK4 Anni in the car park and another friend had the side repeaters and grill stolen from his MK4 GTi
-
Yea since this I've heard horrific story's about allypes. I won't be atttending anymore.

Luckily I've always been on the uk-mkivs stand in previous years, but couldn't make the stand this year so didn't go at all due to the issues with car park theft...

Quite a few show car parks are now just shopping arcades for scum. Still wont eclipse the carnage of ED38 a few years back though. Lots of sh*theads on the scene now, sadly.
-
It really annoys me still angry with the twats!!!
-
I used to take the center caps off my BBS Splits back in 2005, sad to hear the scene is getting progressively worse. :fighting: Scum!!!!

:fighting: :fighting: Then took me a few months to find another and have it painted. Police were not able to do anything as i had not seen anything.
Of all places for this to happen, you least expect it at a car show. One show, that unless on the stand i will not attend again.

Could be worse, in Africa and Pakistan they nick stuff off my company vehicle and when its grounded they try to sell you you're own stuff back.....
Just get the dollar stash out and get away with what you can .......worth whike saying its just not worth getting hurt for what is a chunk of plastic, I know we get very emotive over our cars but we could be hearing a tale of you being run over today and you not being able to work going forward.....just a thought.
-
will the police follow it up?, they need sorting out (the scum that is)

It's just a waiting game now. The police take there time even though they knocked my friend and I over. They told me and my friend when they arrived at the scene that the car had been. Picked up on motorway cameras heading back towards Manchester. Wouldn't you think they would have used there sence and told the motorway police too pick them up and search the car for the stolen goods? No to difficult that they would rather catch people speeding, easy fine etc. have any of you guys heard of any other things stolen from the show on Sunday? Can everybody keep there eyes and ears open for the following... Seat LCr splitter bottom grills and front badge. Facebook/eBay etc. the registration of the car they where in was ML05 BKG. thanks guys

Did you say you have the twats address? :-)

Taken from the caddy forum
Hi all, as some of you are aware my nephew was involved in a hit and run during the Sunday of all types,
The incident happened in the day visitors car park where nick my nephew was knocked down Trying to stop a golf leaving the car park,
The occupants where caught thieving from cars on the car park and once approached drove off at speed knocking nick and dan his mate over, both lads got to the exit and did what they could to stop the car leaving, but the grey Volkswagen golf reg ML05BKG got away,,, Nick and dan are both ok but are keen to trace this car and driver....
This reg has been put on various forums and now flags up on google, ( for more info ) type the reg in google and read other people's accounts on what they saw... might also be worth a read
Thank you for any help in advance
Anthony, nick, and dan,

Ifyou got the address go and get it back one night. Not lime your stealing as it's yours anyway. Maybe he gets a flat tyre or 4 and bleach all over the paint by some sort of weird karma? JUST. SAYING. IS. ALL.
