Afternoon folks, just a quickie, what is people's general concensus on the value of mk5 panels? I think I'm too used to getting old polo panels for a tenner a hit!
I have found a fella breaking a shadow blue golf locally, and I thought it may be cheaper to swap the bonnet rather than have a chips away chap sort out a few dents it has!
So I just wondered what people thought the value of panels for mk5's were at, can't say I've really clocked my bonnets forsale individually.

At a guess id probably think its worth £80 -£100?
What's he asking for it?

Well surely it's as simple as
A respray is like 200?
And if you buy the bonnet for say £150 then quids in?

Cheers for replies fellas, my bonnet only has a couple of 'dents' from an object hitting it on the motorway. So a whole respray isnt neccessary, was thinking more along the lines of a 'chips away' type of repair.
He is looking for £90 (i'm sure i paid that for an 89 polo coupe for spares once!), which if it is as good as it looks, sounds like it could be worth having!
