Title: Vw Service help

hey the golf gti needs a service in sept but i bought it a few days ago and thought i might aswell get it serviced now as i have 2 weeks off.
The car on LL service plan but i went to vw today and as to change it to Time and Distance service.
the cars a 55-reg on 45k miles.
ASKED FOR:
-TD service
-Cambelt+ water pump (wp was a extra £40)
-brake fluid
came to £670

is that a ok price i rather vw did it them a back garage. i usally go to back garages but i love the golf haha.

also with this service what oil should i ask for? (the longlife one)

I'd recommend the T&D service regime with Longlife oil, but this will probably confuse the dealer as the Longlife oil is a lot more expensive than the standard oil.  Make sure you get a quote for exactly what you want.

Changing to T&D is just a 2 minute job with their VAS 5051, but as far as I can tell what really matters is that the superior oil is put in the car.

Including the cam belt?

Bit their hand off.

I paid just shy of £400 for my four year service but that included an air con service and brake fluid change.  I'm doing the cam belt next year.

no the price is including the cambelt and also water pump
