hey the golf gti needs a service in sept but i bought it a few days ago and thought i might aswell get it serviced now as i have 2 weeks off.
The car on LL service plan but i went to vw today and as to change it to Time and Distance service.
the cars a 55-reg on 45k miles.
ASKED FOR:
-TD service
-Cambelt+ water pump (wp was a extra £40)
-brake fluid
came to £670
is that a ok price i rather vw did it them a back garage. i usally go to back garages but i love the golf haha.
also with this service what oil should i ask for? (the longlife one)

I'd recommend the T&D service regime with Longlife oil, but this will probably confuse the dealer as the Longlife oil is a lot more expensive than the standard oil. Make sure you get a quote for exactly what you want.
Changing to T&D is just a 2 minute job with their VAS 5051, but as far as I can tell what really matters is that the superior oil is put in the car.

Including the cam belt?
Bit their hand off.
I paid just shy of £400 for my four year service but that included an air con service and brake fluid change. I'm doing the cam belt next year.
