The Kit is nice no doubts but Surely you wont be able to insure it.
I personally think the Pirelli should be unmolested, its uniqueness is its selling point for me, that along with the KO 4 :pomppomp:
-
Fantastic looking wheels, get a :happy2: from me.
However, remember that UK weather conditions annihilate diamond cut/lacquered wheels very quickly
-
Holy mother of the great lord! Those wheels are lush!
IMO the wheels would be the only thing I would do to a Pirelli. Oh and whatever you do don't sell the original wheels if you do change them :happy2:
-
if your buying a pirelli and changing the wheels why not go for an ed30 that wat you can get a better colour and dont have to put up with the  interior trim :scared:
-
I love the interior of the Pirelli !!!
I didnt like it at first... but its growing on me the more i see the seats
*EDIT* Reflex Silver is gorgusss :pomppomp:
-
imo if the car was yellow would look good but ...............
and them wheels are gorgeous
-
Well, everyone has different opinions...
I'm sure Hurdy agrees with me, Reflex Silverrr all the way

Sorry Richi, I thought you were asking our opinions on the wheels and bodykit? :chicken:
-
YAY YAY YAY from me!!
-
Just leave it standard.
-
Leave it standard :innocent:
Or the insurance people will have a fit :signLOL:
-
I like the alloys, as above dont seel the old ones as come resale time it may cost you dearly, I would certainly want the orig wheels.
surprised for Ottinger as norm i dont like there stuff.
-
Much prefer the RE on a MKV

haha  yes please.
-
They're nice wheels, but I think the pirelli comes with nicer wheeks as standard. I'd stick with them. (if you don't bags first dibs at buying them off you :pomppomp:)
-
i was looking at buying these alloys a while ago but couldn't find any body that sells them
-
100% yes from me, i love these alloys
-

....I wholeheartedly agree :happy2:
In fact I almost feel the same about the Ed30. But the Pirelli is much rarer.
I vote yay for those oettinger alloys providing the original Pirellis are kept for the next buyer (you'll get a better price). I've seen them in the flesh and they look excellent. But watchout for the dreaded white worm!!
:happy2:

Churchill dog voice on.............
OOOohhhhhh yessssss! :happy2:
I love 5 spokes as well.
Undecided on the diamond cut finish for the UK roads as Oli said, but I know they do other finishes too
-
my view is if you mod a pirelli keep the oem bits off it, yes its a bit martmite but ours has really grown on me, indeed the alcantara is brilliant, wheels are anightmare with my missus :sad1:
colour wise its got to be graphite blue in a 3 door
i'll happily take the four rims off you though
-
What ever colour.. they all look fab... :star:
Just proud to be an actual GTi owner...
-
didn't read the post properly, Pirellis nice choice.
is the tdi wide arch sold?
i saw you sold the tdi due to insurance issue with mods. personally i would keep it standard and keep it in good condition
-
i like...... except for the wheels i,m afraid. prefer more spokes/less open space on rims. but love the bumper front splitter and the rear bumper.
and this silver thing is growing on me lol :ashamed:
matsu
-
Rich is that the same kit and wheels as on your first mk5?
-
The Pirelli should be left completely standard apart from the wheels, suspension and engine. It has many unique features that single it out from the crowd, it would be silly to change any of that  As far as the wheels, not for me personally, not enough spokes, BBS FTW :happy2:

haha true, although what about leather recaro's with matching yellow stiching on the outside edge! that'd look decent but inkeeping with the look! its what id do if i had the $$$$ n keep the standard front seats for when it came to sell!
-
those rims are pure filth. And I love it!
-

+1
these classic alloys look much better, they have a lip and they come in gray color as well. Seen these at Oettinger. If I were buying Oettinger alloys I'd only buy RE
-
Yeah I like them better ^^
If you have spare money spend it on a retrim (https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.easyfreesmileys.com%2Fsmileys%2Ffree-scared-smileys-398.gif&hash=a8633d910aa23b5a43374c4c5151f65539cdf3b9) (http://www.easyfreesmileys.com/Free-Jumping-Smileys/)
