Title: A MK 6 antenna on a MK 5?

They look the same but I figured I would ask as see before i buy. Someone is selling a shark fin antenna from a 13 passat and it looks the same as the antennas from the MK 5 GTI.  With an antenna from an newer model it my 07?

virtually all new roof aerials in the VW group no longer have fm, they only carry gps or phone blue or purple connectors, your gti will have fm in the roof, you can re root this to the rear window but its a bit of hassle unless you really want to try.

So the shark fin antenna that I've seen don't plug into the radio like the one I have now does?  Or Should I stuck with only looking in the mk5 group?

just out of interest, how much is the shark fin from the passat?...

i'm looking to do the retrofit on my mk6 i'm picking up tomorrow  :jumping:

It was about 100 I think. I seen it on eBay. I can bring up a specific link if you want
