Title: Common problems ??

Hi guys,

Going to view a VW Golf GTI tomorrow. I was wondering what the common problems are with the car ? The car i am viewing is a manual. Im not sure if its had its cambelt done so how much is this roughly ?

Any common problems with the GTI engine ?

If you do a quick search on here mate there loads off in formation about

ones I checked for are dv makesure that when you let off the throttle there is not a load whistle sound if there is it needs a new not an expensive job but Bargin tool

and another one is when the car is up to temperature that there is not a knocking noise coming from left side off engine if there is this will make you a 1000 pound lighter in your pocket

there may be others but I am relatively new to mk5 scene
