Carefully (not enough) tried to park the car collecting daughter from her friends house and this grind/scrape noise from the front

I know they are dirty!

Quite pissed off that the tyre did'nt really save the wheel.
Anyone else feel my pain?? :sad1:

oh yeah unlucky bud :sad1:

Could it be smart repaired? It doesnt look that bad really. I know how annoying it is though as I done my first GTI after only 2 weeks of ownership!

I hit a kerb today on a straight road in the wet, driver error but luckily I bounced off must be the Michelin PS3s kerb protection, not chip alloy :congrats:  :driver:

Oh I hate that grinding noise!
That does not look too bad from the photo. Prob easily reparable.
A place near me will do a £25 'small repair' - move the tyre from the rim, smooth off and blow in to match. Or £100 for complete strip, repair and paint. Cheaper places are available depending on your location.......
Really annoying when that money could have been spent on something much more fun though!
