Title: Electric lumbar support help
Post by: Jakesangel on May 24, 2013, 01:51:43 pm
Hi guys,

Firstly my apologies if this topic has been mentioned before but I cant find any reference to it.

I have previously heard people refer to an electric lumbar support on the MK5 GTi. Does this come as standard with the car and if so how does it work ? I dont know if this matters but the car has heated leather seats already !!

Thanks in advance for any advice you may be able to offer

if you have leather then you should have electric lumber support

look on the side of the seat for a circular switch

Wow, firstly thanks for the prompt response, really appreciated. Yeah there is a circular switch on the side with small round indentations all around it. Would this be the very switch ? if so cheers for your help mate

yes, that is the one. push the button and you should hear the motors move. if it is dead check the fuse (think it is number 36)

Not wanting to hi-jack the thread here but mine clicks when trying to move it front to back like a cog has stripped!

Any ideas on how to fix?

I checked out the switch over the weekend and it doesnt appear to work. There wasnt any sound or motor noise !!! so perhaps as Eddie-NL mentioned it may just be a fuse. I think the actual fuse number is 34 (not 100% certain). I will have a look at the fuse later. I know its a silly question but could someone just tell where the actual fuse box is located. Thanks for your help guys
