in the market for one in 2 weeks time for my birthday...
wheres best to get a good deal on a 32gb one??

The prices are pretty much set, but John Lewis offer a 2 year warranty (first with Apple, second through JL) so you get more for the money in that sense.
Edit: sorry, reread ipad2, guess you are looking at new 'old stock' but not sure where is best

We have both iPad2 and iPad4 in the house, the Retina display is noticeably better on the 4 especially for webpages and a like. The camera is better too, not that your going to use that much though.
IF I were you I'd go for an iPad3 as they are cheaper than the 4 but have the retina display:

We bought the iPad2 from the Apple refurb store, and it came NEW, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
Are you in Uni? As you can get great deals if your a student (you have to access from your Uni's network to gain access btw):
