Title: laser blue GTI DSG love it

been on here for a little while now and thought i would start one now going to be a slow project one thinks but will get there heres a few pics as it stands now and a couple of little extras i put on it

just currently having wings done at vw then of to deepshine in lincoln to have a full detail

i spent 4 months looking for this car and colour and this spec has got every optoinal extra you could get i belive on a mk5 may be wrong but cant find another with same spec in any colour

Is that a Mk6 badge or a later spec mk5 badge? Looks loads better, mine is just starting to worm, not sure which version to replace with.

it is later mk5 spec but a good solid improvement to the bloody whiteworm badge

fitted new short number plate and shortened number plate plinth

...was holding out for one in this colour but there's only so long you can go without a car lol

Didn't realise you could buy shortened plinths...I take it they use the OEM bolt holes on the grill so they're covered?

Chop it and plastic weld?
Suppose the cut line is hidden by the plate anyway ;)

I quite fancy a smooth grill but there's nowhere else to relocate the plate that doesn't spoil the look :(

that's why I decided to shorten the plinth on it as couldn't find any where decent to put plate
