Title: MK5 GTI side skirts.....tape?

Planning to take off and re-do my side skirts on both sides as the tape/adhesive part is loosing its stickyness.

From research and looking at ETKA, it seems that an adhesive can be bought from VW.

Is this true?? (ie: the adhesive comes separately and can bought as such).

Slightly confused by it tbh!

Depends on what they used for original fitment as to how hard removing the skirts will be. One side on mine fell off after 7 years, yet the other is still so heavily bonded the shop is having a mare with it.

Hi mate I just fixed a set of skirts this week . I used fix all high tack , it's a very very strong sealant better than tiger seal, it's made by accompany called Soundal it can be bought from roofing merchants. It's truely great stuff bonds really quick and goes of like concrete , also stuck on my rear r32 spoiler ... Hope this helps.
