Ive got a 55 plate Mk5 with the standard Audio system.... Is there anyway I can run my Iphone through this same setup or do I have to change the whole lot?

not wanting to hijack the thread but I have the ipod dock in the armrest but do not have an ipod or iphone. I do however have an ipad so is it possible to buy a cable to plug the ipad into the ipod dock so I can listen to the music on the ipad through the car speakers ?

You can buy one from Volkswagen. You just remove the clips in the back of your headunit.
