As the title states my vw golf 1.6 match fsi 07 plate, seems a fine drive no weird noises but at random times the engine seems to lose power and the throttle seems non responsive and the EPC light comes on and also a light that is a CAR with a trail ( I think thats the traction). Also whilst the car is idle the seems like a vibration to the whole car its faint but i know its not normal and that is continuous and i cannot realise it whilst driving.
I have read on other forums that the 1.6 fsi has some common problems but the post didn't elaborate and I am in the hopes some one knows the issue or can help a fellow golf mk5 owner. I am located in East London if that helps.
Your response will be highly appreciated.

You would need to get a VCDS scan, I would check your coil packs, by changing them over with each other.
But it does sound like a throttle body problem that seems to be going round like "flu" at the min...
:happy2:

What is the throttle body problem and how much you reckon if that is the problem i am looking at for cost of repairs

My brother removed the battery to reset the ECU and he carbon cleaned the maf sensor or something and everything seemed like it worked like brand new. I hope it last, my only problem now is that the Engine Management light has come up. So what do i do now? HEEEELLLPPP!

Get it plugged in , until you do it's just a guessing game :drinking:
