I have the Polar unit (silver box) and have to say it is an absolutely essential mod if you have highline :jumpmove: but would users say it is worth getting the latest Advanced unit?
What features are on it which are very useful over and above what I already have eg oil temp, real speed, rpm, fuel etc?
Hopefully, Bacillus can answer in depth shortly (am timing him on a stopwatch :signLOL:)

I thought both units do the same thing, except the newer box is supposed to have a better quality wire (and black box instead of silver) or something...
Just wait for bacillus, I'm sure he'll have the answer... :popcornsoda:

Sorry for being a bit late here. :ashamed:
Pic below isn't a fully comprehensive comparison as new features are gradually being added to the advanced model.
In the end I suppose if you are happy with the features of the PF02 and can't see if you'll need or want the extra bits that the PF03 offers then don't upgrade.

cheers, not a bad response time :happy2:

How hard are they to fit?

How hard are they to fit?
Depends where your gateway is. Fitting the Polar to the gateway isn't hard... just need to get to the gateway first. :signLOL:

How hard are they to fit?
was ok getting to it through cubby hole by steering wheel, but getting the cradle which holds the CAN gateway back into place was a right PITA
-
Thanks !
Mine is behind the dash, above the clutch. Not an easy place to get to, for me anyways. It was hard enough upgrading the gateway.
The polar then attaches to the gateway, where does it si9t?
sorry for all the Q?s

You would of thought it have correction factors on all cylinders ? or does it ?
Helps to keep an eye on things especially running higher tune.

You have that function with the advanced version (PF03) in addition to others like individual cylinder misfire counter, lambda and timing angle.

Unfortunately the comparison chart above hasn't been updated by Polar for a while so it's not fully up to date with all the new functions of the PF03.
