Is the RS4 valve essential for Stage 2+?
Hopefully getting this on my car in the next week or two and just wondering if it is all that essential ??
-
Not technically essential if your present oem one is cracking at the specified 130 bar. The RS4 one cracks at 136 bar.

its only 30 notes so worth putting on

Where Is the best place to purchase one from?

VW or TPS

Does it really help make that much difference, I have heard others say the opposite...

It will help if your current actual pressure in the high pressure fuel rail isn't meeting requested. Generally speaking if it is meeting requested you don't really need it. You need to do the logs on VCDS to check and the best way to get a good run under heavy load is to run the car uphill in one gear from low rpm to 6500rpm. To run it as a real world pull run through three gears under high load up hill the first two only up to 5000rpms though to keep the load maxed. Safely though! You are more likely to get a drop in the high pressure fuel system against requested if you do the latter run as demand is more sustained.

cheers John :drinking:
What would be the best channels to log in?
after 1st & 2nd to 5000rpm, in 3rd gear, take it s far as the hill allows, the steeper the better I take it hill wise?
Is it something you have changed over matey?
:happy2:

IIRC it is measuring blocks 115-3 and 115-4. :happy2:
Yes if you can find a steep hill it is better.
I have the RS4 valve on mine and it was done as a precautionary measure as well as GIAC recommending it on their tune.

Anyone got a part number for this please

When selling my Revo 2+ S3 8P I received a phone call from a guy in London (I'm from Belfast) asking me about the importance of this valve.
For the money (£30-40) and time to fit (1 hour) you may as well. It will ensure the car is running smoothly and will give you peace of mind too :)

I've had one sat in shed for about 2 months :ashamed: I'm Holding back on fitting mine till I buy a loba HPFP. I also read mixed reviews but decided in buying one for a precaution.
