Title: Standard splitter differences?

I've now got hold of a genuine GTI front bumper for the tdi. My question is would my standard splitter fit on the GTI bumper?

Here's my standard bumper...

I'm not planning on keeping the standard bumper splitter on the new GTI bumper but if it fits it will tied me over till I find a genuine GTI splitter.

Well I fitted my gti bumper today and had to try the standard splitter off my old bumper and needless to say it won't fit. :rolleye:

The shape is the same but the clips aren't in the same place on the gti bumper and also the fixings to the underside of the car aren't anywhere near as the gti bumper sticks out further.
