Title: Good garage to fix diesel noise/cam chain - London/Surrey

Hi,

I have the diesel noise when the car is warm, very noticeable from within the cabin.  It wasn't there before  :fighting:

Does anyone know of any garages that have actually fixed this issue?, most likely it being the cam chain.

I'm London and Surrey near Woking, willing to travel to the right garage.

Early MK5 GTI Starting AXX Engine code by any chance?. If so i would say your correct & it will need changing along with the tensioner & a few other little bits. Had it done on my last one,05 reg.
Pushed hard to get it done from a warranty. :smiley:

Im in Woking and have been using AMD Technik for a few years. Was pleased with the service, however it looks like they may have been cutting corners to save money on servicing and cv boot rerplacement. I am now taking the trip to AKS in Milton keynes for the work on my car, but if you dont want to travel too far then AMD would be my next choice.
