Not if you return the car to stock. If however you leave the map on and you are running stage 2 or higher then yes the map will need to be altered so as not to request so much fuel pressure.
-
he has a custom map from a company near him i think, and yes they will have mapped the car to use the full 130bar the HPFP gives i would have thought.
So would need the map swapping.

Cheers guy looks like ill just have to leave it on there :-(

they go for quite alot 2nd hand, sell it and use some of the cash for a map change?

Cars going tomorrow mate
-
Can you put it in Stock mode and sell it with the normal pump on. Or are you selling it as a "mapped" car?
-
It's a custom map just spoke to tuner and they said would need new map done ill just leave it on there I think
-
Well the APR pump can be sold for 450-500 quid so id take it of if i were you! :happy2:
Get them to flash it back to stock.
-
I sold mine for £550. So there is money to be recouped on it. How much will a reflash to stock cost you from the tuner?
-
It's still got a ko4 on it forge front mount de-cat :-( they would have to custom map it again

The OEM pump for the S3 and ED30 with K04 is not an updated one so I'm sure it shouldn't be too hard for them. It's only a case of winding back the requested fuel pressure and prop a bit of boost and timing (I'm no expert so could involve more but the point is I'm sure they could.) Have you asked them if they could and how much etc.
At the end of the day it's your choice mate. Would be a shame to see it go though when you could get a fair bit back for it.
