ive been offered a set of 18' golf R alloys 5x/112 offset with 225/40/18, how can i tell if they are genuine or copies & will they fit my mk5 gt tdi with standard suspension.

They will fit straight on the mk5 no problem. The easiest way to tell will be to look at the back of the alloy as it will have a part number stamped, VW logo and size info
