Title: Wing mirror removal

Hi , need some help guys . I wanna remove the black wing mirror housing of my golf! Anyone got any pics of how to do so ? Thanks .

Yeah I did see that mate , I want to take the black housing off that is on ye door , Not the back of the actual mirror if u get me ? Ha

Its all part of the mirror,  or do you mean the bit inside that has the speaker on

Oh right no I don't mean the inside , just the outside I wanna take it off an wrap it in carbon vinyl wrap .

in that case yes you need to remove the inner bit where the speakers are then remove 3 screws 2 under the bit of trim i've just mentioned and one hidden under a black plastic grommet, you will need to remove the door card to remove the plug for the mirror, then you can pull it all off and cover it.

fyi it will be quite hard to refit as you need to squeeze it back under the rubber door bit and its a pain in the arse.
