Title: Replacing rcd300 with a rcd310 dab
Post by: ED30 T on June 22, 2013, 01:19:07 pm
Hi all
Need a bit of info if possible please.
In my ed30 I have the armrest with the iPod docking and a rcd300 stereo.
I have just brought the rcd310 dab so I can connect to my iPhone 4S and have better radio sound.

My question is what is needed for very thing to work properly?
Do I need any different cables to for my iPhone to work correctly with the 310 if so which one?

Do I need a glass mounted dab aerial?

Cheers

You will need some sort of dab aerial and also the adaptor cable for the standard aerial as the plug is different,im not sure if the old ipod dock interfaces with the new radio as never tried, you may need to upgrade to the mdi but someone will confirm soon im sure.

Hi I have just fitted an rcd510 dab in place of my old rcd 300. All you need is a dual fakra adapter which can be bought of ebay for £8 then you need a dab aerial. I opted for an internal window mounted one as I did not want I rip the roof lining out and change the roof aerial.

In my 2008 gt I did not have to change anything else for the iPod dock to keep on working. All I will say is try everything before you put the dash back together.
