Title: Matt or gloss black gti badges? Where to buy from?

I'm looking to replace the front badges on my Tornado Red ED30, I'm thinking of going gloss or matt black? Has anyone replaced theirs with either colour and where's best to buy them from?

Hi.

I had my front and back badges painted matt black but ive now switched to gloss black. I just think they look nicer and shinier when the car is washed. Its all about personal preference I guess!

I just had them wrapped in gloss vinyl... they guy didn't even charge me lol

Another vote for gloss. I went from matt to gloss as didn't like the matt look.

I bought the front off ebay. Not the above link but looks the same. I vinyl wrapped the rear badge myself in gloss black :happy2:

Bought mine when I had my mk5 from ebay through dubstop international, then when I traded my mk5 the dealer wanted the original putting back in so  I sold the black badge through this forum.

May have a order one of these in gloss black as my first exterior mod, can you buy a rear gloss black badge as well as a replacement to fit?

I'm sure standard rear badges aren't removable from the the handle...well not easily anyway lol
Mine is American spec so it pops off easily. You can buy vinyl overlays, you might be better wrapping it. Will cost you about a fiver ;)

IIRC you can't buy the correct emblem in Gloss Black but its easy enough to take off the chrome effect VW emblem and wrap it, as long as you have the Mk5 3D version.

My old one (Wrapped) when I had the Mk5 handle.....

Think the only way to get the front gti badge on is to stick it on, as the two sticks are not in the oem location and looks odd  :scared:
