Title: What next ... Help me spend my £££
Post by: Joff Gas on June 30, 2013, 05:58:52 pm
Well to explain.... I've just got the car back from the VW main dealers after 4 weeks of stress and hassle , to cut a long story short I've had a complete new DSG gearbox fitted under warranty .

So I've decided to spend a little bit of money on some mods   , and I thought I would ask your advice on what you think... :stupid:

Current spec of the car is :
Ed 30
DSG
Stage1 revo
DSG stage 2
Lowered on springs
TTS front brake upgrade

Budget wise I have bout 1-1.5 k to spend.

I really want a bit more noise/drama  really so obvious choice is TBE exhaust and intake .

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated ??  :happy2:

Thanks guys

Vibratechnics Engine & Gearbox mounts add some nice  cabin noise and dramatically improve power transfer by stopping the sloppy engine movement  :happy2:

Revo Cold air intake also. Performance upgrade + noise

As you mantioned Exhaust.  Check out BCS Automotive & Miltek.

I'd definately recommend a ALK kit, of whatever variety. I've got Superpro's ALK kit on mine and it's like i'm driving a different car. Sticks to the ground like anything and i've been chucking fast round corners. Not too expensive either and could be bought with money left over from exhaust etc.

As above too;

The Combo of Superpro ALK & Superpro Adjustable ball joints make for some awesome handling.

Thank guys ,

I think I'm going to go full exhaust route , would also like intake too.

Last time I had a evoms , but after a while the noise was a bit too much for me , is there a quieter option with good gains ??

Do like the sound of a ALK too.

If noise and drama is what you require then as mike says you need full tbe (pipewerx, bcs louder than milltek so tuners have told me although I have not heard a Milltek on full chat), intake, and full set of engine mounts and dogbone mount - that shoud do it

What is a loba fuel pump?

What is a loba fuel pump?

LOBA 2.0 TFSI Upgrade high pressure fuel pump and cam follower

We take a brand new factory OEM follower and pump and then we make fundamental changes using new components and processes by LOBA.

Modification and tuning of the 2.0TFSI engine far exceeding OEM power levels requires an extra volume of high-pressure fuel. The LOBA 2.0 TFSI high pressure fuel pump will give a fuel volume increase of more than 50% and can sustain over 130 bar making it the one of the biggest flowing pumps on the market.

The materials and processes we decided upon are of the highest possible quality and for this particular application, this meets the very high requirements needed for the latest generation of OEM HPFP specifications. Multiple stages of various precision machining, hardening processes, coating processes and quality control inspections characterize this LOBA pump.

Tested to over 8250rpm both in a controlled environment and on the track/road to simulate a large range of dynamic conditions. Doing so was an important part of our mechanical design parameters to ensure the LOBA pump meets our standard, the result is reliability, durability and performance.
