Well after months of deliberation and looking at various options I finally committed to getting rid of the golf yesterday, sad times but had to get something more practical for the dog and bairn and economical now the Mrs is traveling a lot more for work.
Replacing it is a 57 plate A4 Avant S-Line 170, 33k, Sat nav and quite a few other extras with only Audi and one owner from new, immaculate doesn't even begin to describe it so very happy and although the dealer was a little off the mark as to what I wanted for the golf the price of the A4 more than makes up for that.

I will miss the golf enormously and would be very surprised if I don't own another again at some point, maybe mk6 or 7 next time though.

Probably still lurk on here a bit as its a great forum and the likes of the detailing and photography section are really good. I'll probably post a few pics once I get it sorted.
