got an edition 30 which needs a rebuild brought 75% of stuff to rebuild it for revo stage 4 with gtx30 turbo
now im debating holding it off untill next winter and enjoying the car a little for the remaining summer.. so the plan in mind now is to buy a new motor and build my existing blown engine next year.. i have been looking at engines and belive the edition 30 is a BYD? i have found a CDL which is from a golf r or s3 i belive? will this go straight in plug and play with no problems i presume it will?
many thanks

I would contact Statlers if i was you, they have done many of these engine swaps. :happy2:

cheers mate.. will give them a call
cant see there being much if any probs though?

I think it's a straight swap, just the mapping maybe needs altering.
Do you know why the original blew up?

i have revo stage 2+ already on my ecu will it still need mapping mate? and spark plug electrode snapped in engine.. might just rebuild my original engine dont know yet for posative

Check with boroscope (sp) there is nothing down and run it? A couple of people have had it happen, it is down to worn plugs or poor map IMO. Or have you had more problems?
