So I've had my zenec unit since last November and its been fine I recently traded in my mk5 Gti for a mk6 gt and took the zenec for the new car, when I fitted it in my new car it's asking me for a PIN number, it's never done this before and I have never set one. The manual says it should only ask for a pin if it has been enabled by the user.
I tried to get in a few times then the unit locked me out after 3 tries the manual says it needs a supercode and contact the dealer. Got in touch with the snotty arrogant dealer and it took him a week to send me a 6 digit code and didn't tell me how to enter it so did a bit of googling and found I have to hold the mute and SRC buttons together for 2 seconds then it will ask for the supercode, anyhow I put the radio back in my car and it was unlocked again asking for a pin code, so I entered it three times and locked the unit again then pressed SRC and mute until it asked for the supercode and entered the code provided by the dealer, guess what incorrect code. I've sent the dealer another email telling him this hasn't worked and sent him the serial number off my radio and haven't heard from him for 2 weeks. It was bought through eBay last November. Has anyone got one of these radios and had any problems getting locked out?

I had this issue once, leave it unplugged for a few hours then try. The original normal code is 0000 (sort of defeats the purpose of a code)

Ill try it again but I've tried 0000 1111 and 1234

Found some instructions online (google is your friend!):
Unlock
Depending on your previous software version, your device might lock itself after the MCU update
process. Don ́t panic, that ́s not a big deal: Try „0000“ to unlock and if that ́s not going to help push
„SRC and“MUTE“ simultaneously until you get the onscreen message „ENTER SUPERCODE“.
Now type „123456“.

Thanks Simon I found that too and that also didn't work I'm gonna try it all again this weekend then get back in touch with the dealer

Did you cut the power to it forca few hours, not just turn it off?
I had the exact same problem when I bought mine and was not given the password. The above worked for me.
There is also a software recovery process, it will update the software too and thus reset the password. You need a 512MB-2GB SD card and a 2-4GB FAT32 USB stick.

By the way the default password is 0000 so don't try those other ones.
