Good choice and nice colour

I missed having a nice colour after having a black car, felt a bit bad trading it in but nevermind.

Do they call it sprint blue Dan, like the Seats do? Good looking motor though, I do like these. Might have seen you about actually, I catch a couple of these on my commute going the other way.

A lot of people (particularly in Northants) will think you're the old bill for sure

I have noticed people backing off lol, it just feels very smooth and quiet to drive, you can nearly forget its a diesel still.

Not surprised  Yeah, I get the same comments at motorway speeds in fairness. I gave it beans the other week to Milton Keynes and my mate who's dad has a 997 Turbo commented on how un-diesel like the growl and pace is when pushed.

Not really posted much in a while so thought I'd update this.

I've not got round to doing much with the car as I've changed jobs and moved house but hoping to do a bit more with this soon. I now have a work van I use for work so can start to save some pennies and get things done to the car and enjoy it again.

Here's how it is for now, really needs and clean and lowering but I'll get round to that, least I can get suspension cheap now through work. I had the wheels refurbed but still not sure if I made the right choice on the colour but I still really want 19's instead though.

I think all things considered Dan, 18"s are just about right. Aesthetics aside, I've weighed up many times and concluded that 19"s don't offer that much over 18"s in this country given our quality of roads, and tyre prices of course.

On a bigger car, 19"s appear the right thing but I guess you pay for it.

Spacers and coilovers on the agenda? I think they'd suit this very well.
I also know a friend of a friend with the same colour as yours that's wrapped the grille in a gloss black (to match his gloss black wheels) and it looks very smart, very aggro too

Started doing some bits to this again, I bought a new grille from work and set about having it painted and new badges fitted.

Well I've had the vRS lowered but in all honesty it doesn't look that different to me, but nevermind it still fits on the driveway lol. Will have to sort out some new pics.

I've just got to be patient now for 2 months as I've got the car booked into Darkside Developments in June for a couple days having it mapped etc so we shall see what they can do with it so I'll have to refrain from spending for now  :scared:

I think original 18" vRS alloys clear R32 calipers. They are the exact same dimensions (18x7.5" ET51) but seem to have a much better spoke design/shape. Are you keeping your original wheels for winter? Happy running the 10mm spacer with them?

looks great.  love the wheel colour and the lowering.

tbh i ummed and ahhed about going 19"s for ages and in the end stayed 18".   Much cheaper as you keep your existing tyres plus the weight saving really makes a difference.  get it low and 18"s look fine, not too small.

19" x8" aren't they?
I like them. They look good and I've often considered them but feel they are just a little to sporty for my car.
Look great on yours though.

Yea 19x8 so fit perfectly, I had some after market 19's and they were just a pain and I had lots of issues with brake clearance which I don't have with these wheels.

I don't really know, its just on my system as the cup kit so its springs and shocks. Should have it all fitted the first week of June, just a shame one of my Porsche calipers is on back order as I wanted only new stuff from now on with my car.

Popping to Scotland in July as I'm having custom one off headlights made, bi-xenon conversion done to them, so will get a new front bumper and retrofit the headlight washers to it too.

Just got lots of exciting things happening which should hopefully give the car a new look over the standard models but still try and retain an OE look to it.

I got impatient and fed up of being let down with availability so I ended up cancelling my order and bought a pair of second hand calipers that I've now got ready to be sent off to be fully refurbished and painted.

I should have these looking as good as new soon enough so at the min I'm still on track with my plans.

Really need to stop spending at the moment, sorted out brand new R32 rear calipers so will have 310mm vented set up to with the NQSBBK so hoping it will stop well as the standard set up really really doesn't cut it at the moment.

When I fitted the front and rear r32 set up on my gttdi it improved the braking a great deal and the pedal is right at the top

Calipers look fabolous Dan, they even looked awesome in black IMHO

And anything with 'PORSCHE' tax written on it adds to the raw coolness.
I want a set myself but can't justify it on usage and cost tbh.

Still never see you around anymore...  :stupid:

I had the headlights done last week and if I'm honest I'm preferring the old lights, I can't get used to these yet, what do people think??

I'd have left them as/was, and gone for gloss black wing mirrors

Think I've decided I'm gonna put the old headlights back in, good thing I kept the originals and had these done with some new headlights but I guess you don't know till you try these things.
