Hi all ! :happy2:
Just wondering if any one can give me any info on machine polishers . I drive a Ed 30 GTi in tornado red . I've spent hours in the garage trying to remove all of the swirls . Although its looks pretty good now I can still see swirl marks when it's in the sun light . The results of the machine polishers look awesome ' something I can never seem to achieve! :sad1:
Just wondering if any would recommend a machine polisher .. And if so which one and which polish and pads to use? And if there are any risks with damaging the paint . Thats my biggest worry about machine polishing !
Cheers!

I use a das6 pro (£100)
Orange hex logic
Green hex logic
Black hex logic pads (£10 ea)
Meguiars 105
Meguiars 205
This seems to do the trick for me. Have you took a look at detailing world? You will find everything you need to know there.

Great site that detailing world. cheers!

Das6pro I use with lake country hydro tech pads and menzerna polished so easy to use and hard to damage paint with a da

I've tried in vein before now to remove swirls, light scratches by hand using a plethora of fine cutting compounds and pads... It just isn't worth the hassle, a half decent DA like the DAS pro makes it soo much easier.

Removing swirls is the easy bit keeping them away is the hard bit lol when u have the paint perfect u just need to look at it wrong to leave a mark lol

where abouts are you? i'm sure someone local will show you how easy they are to use, I have the Clean Your Car rotary polisher and its a great little polisher.

You need to read the very good DIY on Detailing World. Read that and it will explain everything from how to tape it up and how to wash your car without scratching it again.
