Title: Jonny's Golf GT 170
Post by: Jonny_FRS on July 06, 2013, 12:10:35 am
Bought my first VW back in 2012 at the end of December, love the car but it's been an expensive journey so far! Brief history is used to own a modified Mk1 Focus RS for 3.5 years, running 290 bhp & 336 lbft, until 1st Jan 2012 when it was sadly written off

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fjonny_sri%2FFocus_RS%2FIMAG0070.jpg&hash=92bc9185995c0faebdf1673895950316d646b228)

Next move was an Astra 888 CDI, running 197 bhp & 215 lbft, really disliked the thing, seemed off the road more than it was on so kept it for 10 months until selling it for the Golf:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fjonny_sri%2FAstra_888%2FIMG-20120225-00416.jpg&hash=728540ce8469a9f8a49df4d90815b875a194289f)

Which brings me to my Golf GT 170, seen it come up at a good price on Auto Trader, was over in Bishop Auckland being sold by a trader so decided to go over for a look, this is how she looked once I'd got her home:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fkk269%2Fjonny_sri%2Fphoto.jpg&hash=173849351288933759e8eb1ee23a0158ee39f633)

Car has changed a lot and is very much a 'work in progress' - wouldn't class it as a GTI rep, i'm more just styling it with whatever bits I come across that I like so it could end up as a right mash up!

Within a couple of weeks I started collecting mods -

Bought these from a lad in Glasgow, VAG fitment but was running them on a Astra VXR using adapters:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fkk269%2Fjonny_sri%2FA74469CE-D097-4A24-AF12-98FF9AE414BB-3382-0000044D4FFEDBEC.jpg&hash=e09613518361252688b6ad60513dd47969765487)

Tried on for size, made the car sit very high!!

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fkk269%2Fjonny_sri%2F0EBFD086-70F9-4E76-A224-BF590280CB40-3382-0000044D45A71833.jpg&hash=c87a27af86d89da7b361dac2516e6fbc8d1f42c5)

Then picked up these Apex RDX coilovers from a lad over in Annan a couple of days later:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fkk269%2Fjonny_sri%2F9435D031-94A2-4E7C-8805-F65BF5D5A77A-3382-0000044D3E3502F3.jpg&hash=6eaaf609084705ac8daa095872b35e24b88fc24f)

Sadly from the second day of ownership, this little guy kept appearing:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fkk269%2Fjonny_sri%2F1D4F7144-C400-46E4-95F3-77FED319386A-3382-0000044D6737EF89.jpg&hash=fbe290368e3da951f76e70074e1776f6fbc95301)

A blast down the motorway to force a regen and clear the DPF seemed to do the job but only for 2-3 days at a time then the issue would come back, over a 2 week period the blocking got so bad that the car stopped performing regens and the car went into limp mode! After taking the car to a local VW specialist, the problem was diagnosed as a nackered DPF. Was pretty gutted but suppose it's the risk you take buying cars off traders. Thought long and hard about what to do with the car, as I'd already started buying mods I decided I was too committed and started looking looking for somewhere to delete the DPF and map it!

Called round a few places and following a phone call to ADS at Preston on 19th December the car was squashed in the following day for the work as I was due to be best man at a wedding on 23rd December and needed my car!

Set off to ADS in Preston at 6am to make it there for 8am with the car in limp mode, journey seemed to take forever as the car would slow down to 45mph on the slightest hill! Dropped the car off and went for a wonder around Preston and was told Dave would call me when the car was nearly done - sadly as the car was a late booking I was one of the last jobs of the day, Dave ran into various issues but worked until 8pm to fit a Milltek DPF delete pipe and load a stage 2 map to the car. The journey home seemed to take half the time and I drove home with a massive grin :happy2:

Car seemed to ran great until the clutch started slipping - turns out my clutch and fly wheel were goosed too and the extra power highlighted this - in January 2013 I had them replaced by a mate. As you can imagine the car had cost me a hell of a lot by this point but still looked exactly the same!

The CH reps I bought had a couple of light marks and really didn't like the finish on them so decided to rub them down and paint them myself -

Before:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fkk269%2Fjonny_sri%2F9A74D12B-4D8B-4A7E-B372-E8E2015AFC1A-3382-0000044D591725A7.jpg&hash=da3d21d8a2c4cc5ab6a1b8700c19721e3995f98e)

Rubbed down:

Primed with acid etch:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fkk269%2Fjonny_sri%2F48399066-C9AC-4301-BBBB-9A49554958B5-3382-0000044D1E9D13E8.jpg&hash=f0764d909902404a37b888c5c54559c7e80a3fb4)

Then painted with Ford Stardust Silver -

First coat:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fkk269%2Fjonny_sri%2F87CD9E60-A73C-4F1C-82F2-9CC9971F12D1-3382-0000044D17AC9F33.jpg&hash=732f2d73adbd049b44227c4f31ea4bddcf704840)

Second coat:

Then 2 coats of lacquer:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fkk269%2Fjonny_sri%2FD8479A32-A907-4A24-AD76-667C4B11FE00-3382-0000044CF68C3A83.jpg&hash=ab9c8583bfe14069c70f1b06354d9ed65ec0e6fa)

Once the wheels were done I sealed them with some Auto Finesse product then ended up sitting on them until winter passed:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fkk269%2Fjonny_sri%2F22984D56-A815-4FC0-A8BD-EA21B79DE49C-3382-0000044CE3F0E436.jpg&hash=5588a9035b26bf52900dbf92127c2f2ff2ed2383)

Also bought some new centre caps and got a guy off ebay to make me some decals:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fkk269%2Fjonny_sri%2F357D57C1-8B0B-44CB-B8DF-03FF22DB7F48-3382-0000044CEB513CD8.jpg&hash=4889209c6f097ae674dfe7791204123c6b2c6cbf)

Next mod was the lower GTI rear valance, my GT one was pretty scuffed up from the previous owner so decided it needed replaced and sourced this brand new genuine GTI one - also debadged the rear of the car:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fkk269%2Fjonny_sri%2FE1ABD81E-F9E3-477E-9DA5-597649366B2B-3382-0000044D2ED15B15.jpg&hash=1fbdfdf28afdb4df439e5f7ffa9420f6fdd458fc)

One of my mates had a free Saturday coming up and said he would help me fit my coilovers in his garage, this prompted me to get my tyres fitted to my freshly painted rims so made a trip to the local tyre fitters:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fkk269%2Fjonny_sri%2FEE03E8B3-C84D-47A7-9A48-B394C854C006-3382-0000044CD1FC8351.jpg&hash=509efc7932884771056bf710f68fdd0de41554ff)

Next step was fitting the coil overs, setting the height and fitting the wheels - also replaced the two front suspension arms whilst I was at it which resulted in this:

The next day I washed the car and took some shots:

Already the car was looking much better! Finally after a tough 4 months of ownership I started enjoying my car as it was beginning to look how I wanted it!

Next job was to paint the brake calipers, after fitting the new wheels, the corroded, unpainted ones really stood out so spent a good few hours wire brushing and rubbing them down:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fkk269%2Fjonny_sri%2Fnull-1.jpg&hash=603a7ca5ce34e04d18e0736f2cbb5f70e6b32378)

Then painted with 2 coats of hammerite direct to rust smooth blue paint:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fkk269%2Fjonny_sri%2Fnull-5.jpg&hash=118bf1bc3344604236f697ea25e81f7c9697ab17)

Next mod was to replace the front grilles - had been looking out for a genuine GTi set for a long time but couldn't find anything that was decent enough second hand, had read on here of a few guys buying replica sets from a ebay seller which were really good quality so decided to give them a try -

From this:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fkk269%2Fjonny_sri%2Fnull-30.jpg&hash=f69da3899f3314645b61bd98f260924999248cf1)

Then built back up:

Plan to paint the red strip blue to match the wheels or black sometime soon.

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fkk269%2Fjonny_sri%2Fnull-51.jpg&hash=edcfe88d025434ff76d3bfe3f395e0515ac3fb1e)

Quality and fit are really good - very happy with them  :happy2:

Whilst fitting the grilles, I had the interior professionally cleaned. It wasn't too dirty if I'm honest but as my dad is a professional carpet and upholstery cleaner I thought it was worth getting done when all it would cost was a couple of brews:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fkk269%2Fjonny_sri%2Fnull-17.jpg&hash=23dca33550f6d775b29cf7b8d8a7d772681a999d)

Prior to cleaning:

Seats, roof lining and mats are now like brand new and have that clean feel! Really happy with how then come out

Following on from the new mods, the car was really missing a rear spoiler:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fkk269%2Fjonny_sri%2Fnull-87.jpg&hash=d891f70bb899ca2737367e4f7f8abb832c4ba9b5)

So the next mod was a carbon rear votex style spoiler, it arrived and rather impatiently/foolishly I got a friend to fit it straight away without checking the fit or trimming it up to get it flush, it looked ok but I really wasn't happy with how it sat but ended up running around with it on the car as it looked better with it than it did without:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fkk269%2Fjonny_sri%2Fnull-64.jpg&hash=e016fc642de464b75bc188aa115a5130304da2eb)

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fkk269%2Fjonny_sri%2Fnull-65.jpg&hash=6de77ac01eefde171c9119b7d225fd8b12e2d0b0)

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fkk269%2Fjonny_sri%2Fnull-67.jpg&hash=a7405bc183744c4eea39c2a1c5bd4da7fd4108c6)

Next task was to wrap my B pillars in gloss black vinyl as the original matt ones were looking very shabby:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fkk269%2Fjonny_sri%2Fnull-56.jpg&hash=f9a75ad77352821ba2ba2cd00b8450c7cef7e7df)

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fkk269%2Fjonny_sri%2Fnull-59.jpg&hash=7db2e27792bd0f1e049a41fdf177853c50e9693a)

All in all it tidies them up and looks better than shabby old matt ones!

Whilst keeping an eye out for a GTI tailgate and spoiler to replace the carbon one I came across a seller in Oldham selling one on Ebay in exactly the same colour as my car and managed to win the auction! Following this I managed to convince the missus we needed to go shopping in Manchester which would allow us to pick up the tailgate in Oldham on the way:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fkk269%2Fjonny_sri%2Fnull-63.jpg&hash=b80e7ce16fed2bed5af3eab7c42606ef6d35e9f3)

Picked it up on the Friday and had it fitted on the Saturday

Fit was much better! Also managed to get the panel gap much better than the original tailgate! See instagram style before and after pic:

Next step was to wash and de-badge the tailgate!

Big first update I know - been meaning to start a thread for a long time but haven't got round to it!

Car is my cheap to run, 'sensible' car - but doesn't mean I can't have it looking and performing how I want it haha! Returns good MPG when driven sensibly but has enough poke to keep me happy following the DPF delete and map. Next plans include sourcing and fitting some GTI skirts, new double din head unit - most likely an RDC510 and spend some time on the paint work with my DAS-6 - which I haven't touched since buying the car!

Thanks for reading  :drinking:

thanks mate - been a love and hate thing with it two years ago when it kept ruining turbos but now its all sorted I don't think I could sell it now-next mod is the s3 cooler and hard pipes of dark side developments

Look forward to seeing your intercooler progress Andy - plans sound good! Sounds like a testing time but bet you're glad you kept it  :happy2: bet she pulls like a train!!

Mines been love/hate so far too, the first 2 months weren't good but she's finally getting there now! If i can get some GTi skirts, new HU and a short shifter I'll be happy for now haha! Although modding is addictive. . . and keep looking for black headlights, R32 rear lights, black roof linings and full leather interiors!!! Can see this being an expensive project!!!

:grin:its this forum I blame as I wasn't going to do much to mine  :innocent:I looked for gti lights for ages but none came up for sale so I bought new ones of the dealers then a few days later 2sets come up for sale on e bay.The side skirts are bout £60 which isn't to bad..know few people have sprayed the back lights and the result are very good

Haha it literally is this forum!! Couple of days ago i decided i wasnt spending anymore money on the car until after my holiday in 4 weeks, then i look at a couple of build threads, including yours, and now plan on buying more bits next week!!

Been keeping an eye out on ebay for front lights, seen a couple of sets listed recently but think I'll get sorted with some skirts and HU first as mine are in really good condition  :happy2: forever checking for skirts though, every time i look at my car the first thing that pops into my head is that its missing some skirts!! Will have to have a search now to see what paint people have used on the rear lights - it's certainly worth a try!

Can't tell with the glass, only time its notable is when all the glass is proper wet and you look round the car and see the difference . Last few pics of the car following cleaning it started raining so you can see the blue tint slightly!

Thanks matey  :happy2:

Not really sure what they are like to drive standard as my DPF started playing up on the second day of ownership which prompted me to go for the remap and Milltek DPF delete pipe! Although now its been mapped its great to drive! I can get around 44mpg around town and closer to 60mpg on a run yet its got a hell of a pull between 2200 rpm and 3400 rpm when I need it! Its a great all rounder as it gets me economy but still has something to stop me getting bored! Only other Golf i have driven was my mates mk5 1.9 match, which seemed pretty sluggish in comparison to mine when in standard guise. Now its mapped it seems to jump to attention in every gear, even 6th at the right revs!

Got a few updates coming, have changed a couple of little things with the car such as vinyl wrapping my B pillars gloss black, fitting a chrome mk6 Golf head light switch and fitting an S3 short shifter :happy2:

Also, whilst on holiday in Turkey i couldn't resist using the hotel wifi whilst on the beach to order a cruise control stalk to retro fit now i have access to VAG COM and some blue plasti dip to paint my front grille strip so that it matches my brake calipers. My fuel cap relase button seems to have also dropped into the door card so also need to fix that! Still on the hunt for some decent GTI side skirts too! Back on Thursday so will update properly at the weekend!

Thanks matey  :happy2:

Been thinking about replacing the switch for a chrome one, currently have chrome light switch and drivers window switch so been on the hunt for a passenger side switch and mirror switch! Wasn't too fussed about the fuel one with it being so low down but its prob's worth changing when I have the door card off!

Think one of the actual support clips on the door card that the switch clicks into is broken, called TPS before my holiday but sadly they don't sell the panel that houses the switch and only do the full door card so will have to try to bond the clip/lug back on otherwise I'll need a second hand door card  :sad1:

Thanks mate. I do have a couple of little update to add to it. Just haven't got round to get photos yet.

I'm liking the Milltek actually. Gives a nice deep exhaust note. I do find myself running round with the rear seats down though as with them up it is a little quiet inside. I do have a video of mine https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2z7xdRn6PM (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2z7xdRn6PM). I have done a better one but just need to edit it and upload. Great work, all id say it needs now is rear bumper colour coded and Gti headlights!

Shame about the renowned DPF problems. My mum and dad have a 170 too and have just had a fault come up with the pressure sensors.

Can i ask what cost is involved in the DPF delete?

Drop me a PM with where your based and we can talk about the options and what it cost me matey, i went the expensive route as i have have a Milltek pipe and needed it done sharpish so depends what you want and how much your prepared to spend!

Made a few small changes over the last couple of months, slowly feeling that the car is starting to get how I want it now  :happy2:

First mod was a Mk6 Golf chrome head light switch to replace my cracked surround and also match my chrome tipped window switches:

From this:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fkk269%2Fjonny_sri%2Fnull_zpsdca58a97.jpg&hash=d7d97cbd28a30adf1402072738f4cb2cbfcc0093)

To this:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fkk269%2Fjonny_sri%2Fnull_zps6e47cb82.jpg&hash=8d3256eb1d59d4b187f77f1b6fb466cbd3ee1b80)

Next up was fitting a S3 short shifter which I bought from Skard (cheers dude) :happy2: Didn't get any pictures of it before fitting sadly! Definitely a shorter throw over standard!

Another job was to vinyl wrap my B pillars which had some marks on them. GTI B pillar trims are quite expensive so decided to buy some gloss black wrap and have a go myself, thankfully the results didn't turn out too bad:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fkk269%2Fjonny_sri%2Fnull-56.jpg&hash=f9a75ad77352821ba2ba2cd00b8450c7cef7e7df)

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fkk269%2Fjonny_sri%2Fnull-61.jpg&hash=6b0711cb5ee0e83cf3404bf1daa3ecd3e248aa9d)

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fkk269%2Fjonny_sri%2Fnull-57.jpg&hash=1f53e5d59c56890cbf5e54f13129ab9ae84a9abc)

As I do a lot more motorway journeys now I have an economical car I decided that Cruise Control would be a great mod, after some research from my Turkish beach on holiday I was able to identify that my car would have the correct wiring present, allowing me to simply buy the correct stalk and snap it straight in! I was able to source a second hand Cruise Control stalk off ebay for £24 delivered and once I got back from Turkey I was able to install the stalk and use my mates VAG COM to enable it  :happy2:

Stripping down:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fkk269%2Fjonny_sri%2Fnull_zpsc5c911bf.jpg&hash=87306ed14494a3f93688f7ddb0df1c52528b7c94)

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fkk269%2Fjonny_sri%2Fnull_zps7f695ab8.jpg&hash=83f0c8477df278e5a783d56e88c5107c63d0434d)

Job took just over an hour in total - all in all, a great mod for £24!

Next job was to paint the red strip on my front grille blue to match my brake calipers. Picked up some Plasti Dip off ebay, once it arrived I stripped down the grille and painted the strip.

From this:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fkk269%2Fjonny_sri%2Fnull-54.jpg&hash=bcfbbbe59252d9c5baa40d674d9026d436482517)

Drying:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fkk269%2Fjonny_sri%2Fnull_zpsa45d3225.jpg&hash=1495d632e8a2546b3415cacb8380e2f84ddb6308)

Fitted (excuse the dirty car!):

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fkk269%2Fjonny_sri%2Fnull_zpsffa96088.jpg&hash=f8515df4ce1938045412b52cb9d691935e95ac1c)

As you can see, it matches pretty well with my calipers:

Ordered some new genuine GTI side skirts today, hoping that they'll be ready for collection tomorrow so I can fit them over the weekend! Looking forward to getting them fitted as every time I look at my car it's crying out for some skirts to fill the middle out a bit more! Will hopefully have an update for you all over the weekend!

I've had a quote from TPS which wasnt too cheap (cant remember it now but was around £28 per side), will probably get some eventually but my cash is needed for at more important mods right now haha! Glad the skirts are coming as thats another thing off the list then I'd like some black head lights  :happy2:

Sounds a little expensive to me. Think I paid £18 a side. Might be different with yours being a 3 door.

Will have to revisit the gloss trim situation with TPS as they would make a nice addition to my car  :happy2:

Sadly only half of my side skirt bits have came, the brackets haven't yet arrived so need to collect those on Monday. Plan is to fit Monday night!

Thanks to Matto for his advice on sourcing them  :happy2:

Sadly all the bits required to fit my skirts didn't arrive in time to fit them over the weekend so spent the day taking off my door card to fix/remount my petrol cap button which had fallen into the door card, hoovering out the car and giving her a good wash - results came up really good:

Collected my new genuine GTI skirts today and fit them after work tonight - they have made a massive difference and fill the middle of the car out nicely:

Looks sweet! I love how much of a difference the side skirts make!  I just picked up the sideskirts on Saturday. Not gonna be able to get them fitted til they're colour coded (payday, end of Sept). :-(

Quick question. I have the two side skirts, and two brackets per side. Did you use a glue or bond to fix the skirts on? Or just the strip of adhesive already on the skirt?

Thanks matey, love the look of the car with the skirts on!

I literally fit the skirts using the two brackets either side, one screw at either end and the adhesive tape that comes with them - they're solid and have stuck well so dont think they'll be going anywhere in a hurry  :happy2:

Really starting to take shape now JC. Think I'll have to look at short shifter.

Skirts really finish it off, level out front and rear bumpers.

Cheers Dan, she's like a different car to what she was last December! Short shifter would be a good mod for your S3, I can help you fit it too as is a nice quick job!

Transforms the look completey mate. Loads better.

Need to get me some ordered at some point after my holiday next year. What are the brackets you mentioned? Do they come with the skirts or is that a seperate fitting kit?

Iv got some brackets in my garage for the side skirts which i never used. They are a seperate kit but you shouldnt need them. If you do, give me a shout and il bob them in the post for you  :happy2:

As Joe says mate, brackets are separate, depends how you want to fit your skirts though - if you want to bond them on you won't need them, if you want to ever easially remove them then you can use the double sided tape that comes with them and use brackets  :happy2:
