Title: re map? stage?

got a mk5 pirrelli shes standard at the mo but thinking of taking the next step for some more fun,

what does stage 1 involve? stage 2 etc etc and what would be the best place to goto ive been told AMD at lakeside as its close but want opinions first as dont wanna take a 14k car to some 2 bob shop n end up killing it

Check out apr and revos websites for a basic understanding in what's involved in the various stages of tune.

If you want to keep it as quiet as standard but add (A LOT) more power and torque across the rev range, then go for a Stage 1 only; it's also by far the biggest gain in power you will see for your money, esp. on K04 like you have.  You'll see a healthy 200bhp at 3k RPM with ~300lb/ft of torque... then probably around 280bhp+

I'd grab a custom map from rTech if I were you.

Spend the rest of the cash on better brakes. :happy2: R32 or Porsche 4 pots....

Stage 1 is how the car should have been from the factory! Feels great to drive you will wonder why you didn't do it sooner
