Title: Replacing wheel bearing?
Post by: tommygti on July 08, 2013, 10:58:33 am
My rear drivers side wheel bearing has gone. Do I need to buy just the new bearing or do I need the compete rear hub replacing as I have been told it comes as a complete unit? It's just there is a difference of £50-60 to spend.

Whole hub I'm afraid. Look at it this way, in theory it makes it easier to fit.

comes as one with hub and bearing, really simple job to do. wheel off but
you will need a m18 spine socket to get the bolt out the centre of the hub. euro car parts do one for £55 and one for £75

that's the hub not the m18 spline, lol... I struggled to find the socket, got a set from machine mart in the end for £17, pick one up from eBay for about £6 thew
