Title: golf 170 hesitation under light throttle
Post by: phal on July 09, 2013, 10:49:55 am
Ok well this had been an issue for a couple of months now and its really starting to annoy me, its intermittent hesitation under light throttle, doesnt matter if its accelerating or just cruising through a 30/40/50 zone

sometimes its quite a harsh hesitation other times its just a few blips that will last over a few mile and then i wont see it for 100 mile or so (didnt get 1 on the 240 mile round trip to gti international at the weekend)

so far i'v changed the fuel filter and took out the egr for a clean and vag com throws no error codes . also called vw and it was in early last year for the injector recall.

it it just the way they tend to be as i have read a fair few threads on this hesitation issue, can it be mapped out if it is?

Mine did a very similar thing on light throttle. Stuttering all over the place. I believe it is to do with the DPF. Since then I have had it removed and remapped and it has never stuttered since. I assume you still have the DPF fitted?
