Title: GT 140 Special Ideas
Post by: zenicman9 on July 09, 2013, 11:32:15 am
Hey All

So I have being speaking to Darkside Developments a lot recently and have being seriously considering making my GT 140 something special.

I have spoke to Darkside and they think I can get to around 310bhp with 450Ft/Lbs

I am wondering if anyone knows or could give an indication on what this will be as a daily driver?

Also how much will my MPG be effected as I currently get around 50mpg everywhere I go.

Thanks

You would be talking some serious coin for those sort of figures, why not get a hybrid which will give you around 210bhp, that itself would be a huge improvement over stock,  What sort of price have they quoted you for the upgrades you would need?

That would be a lot of money as I have been looking into the same mod but am not sure spending that kind of money  like their kit
2k turbo and manifold
1k clutch
£800 for intetcooler and there hard pipes
£800 injectors
that's what I priced up to do that mod and then there will be engine mounts etc..
Am running 220bhp on a hybrid turbo and there is no turbo lag then bout 2500 rev it pulls like a train and still get 55mpg

Cost wise your looking at about £6000 without any bigger brakes which you will need so its not cheap.
