Hey guys
Managed to get hold of some porsche 996t calipers (Caliper part number 996.351.429 / 996.351.430)
I want to fit these to my edition 30 with a 340mm or 350mm disk.
I have standard wheels.
Has anyone done this and are able to lend me some useful information ? :) Does anyone know what Parts I need to do this ( adaptors and disks )

You need to contact the forum brake guru DaveB1970. He should be able to sort you out with all the necessary hardware.
-
I'm interested in the same kind of set up so would be interested in what you need.

got my kit fitted with 350mm discs (read tfsi mike's review as they were his brakes) but fitted with the bbs vz i need a 3mm spacer to clear the caliper, the vz do rub on hard cornering only.
i have the TT wishbones fitted but if you have the standard gti wishbones i think the kit may fit with VZ without a spacer :happy2:

I do not know if they can help you, but ECS tuning might be worth a shout out...They use a 996t replica for their stage 3 kit...http://www.ecstuning.com/Volkswagen-Golf_V--2.0T/Braking/ECS_Stage_3/

Hi Chaps
Ayoub thanks mate.
Ok we've got a fitting kit for these Calipers, in fact we've got two fitting kits.
Standard GTI and TTRS Caliper kit and another fitting kit for S3 hubs are available.
The fitting kit is the CC1032 brackets in 2014ALi helicoiled with V section inserts, VAG 11 hoses made by HEL to custom spec. We also supply super fine thread pitch M12 mounting bolts with the kits, Porsche use M12 x 1.5 bolts we use M12 x 1.25 so that's about 20% more threads per bolt than OEM Porsche. In brief they're bloody strong.
Caliper fitting kit is £250 inc VAT
Drilled or J hooked discs are £250 inc VAT, no J hook in stock for four weeks drilled on the shelf
The discs are brembo HIgh Carbon, we also machine the centre bore out to 68mm and then supply Centreing rings so that they mount completely true. On the standard disc there's also no disc mounting hole, we machine that in too.
The discs are Brembo (dash 11s) so that means they come with a min wear sensor and a metallic red painted bell they look very tidy being honest.
If somebody wants a set just PM me full name and address and an email addy and I'll rustle up an invoice
Happy to offer 10% discount on the fitting kits
