I can't find any receipts for a brake fluid change on my ed30 so it's the next job on the list.
I thought fluid choice was an easy one, go with the tried and tested RBF 600 or castrol SRF but people on here have commented that the viscosity of these May cause issues with ABS unit fitted on the mk5.
So what fluid are you guys running?
Also when vagcom is used to flush the abs unit do you do it before or after replacing the fluid?
Cheers

just use OEM fluid, its good enough for an R8 its good enough for me.

+1 OEM is perfect.
Cycle the abs before replacing fluid, otherwise you'll have to replace it twice. I think some people do do it twice so it's up to you.

501.14 if memory serves (may have been superceeded) but as others have said, standard is more than up to the job. :happy2:

Cheers all, I'll use a mates vagcom and cycle it myself before I take it too the garage. I'll pick up some OEM fluid as well!

I have Pentosin Low Viscosity DOT4 in mine at the minute, pretty much same as OEM. http://www.pentosin.net/specsheets/Pentosin_Dot4_LV.pdf
Got it cheap off a motor factor on ebay before he must have realised it was too cheap.
