Title: left foot braking
Post by: andygo on July 15, 2013, 09:19:42 am
Is there a way to have this enabled - eg disable the throttle cut when left foot braking? I know it can be enabled with an ecu remap, but wondered if Vagcom has a way in?

As far as I know vagcom wont be able to do it. Its a very simple map alteration and any good tuner should be able to do it for very little money.

if you send me your ECU I could enable it.

Is linear throttle "controlled boost lag" ?  Or is that a way of achieving the characteristics of linear pedal?

My car and my ECU are inseperable - no ECU= no car for me to drive. Avoided at all costs! But thanks for your offer..  :drinking:

Can this be done on a DSG car? Would be interested in having this done

Yes, DSG cars respond in the same way.

As for linear throttle it is just as it sounds, in a typical TFSi throttle map 10% throttle at the pedal is more like 35% requested at the throttle body. Linear throttle mapping aligns the pedal and throttle at a 1:1 ratio.

Does that make the percieved throttle response a little dead until the driver has 're learnt' how to modulate the throttle - or is it not that noticable?

very noticable and car feels sluggish at first.
