Thats the reason I asked for the size and some more pics - they looked just too wide on Toast car. IMHO of course
-
They were 8.5 inch wide with a et48 on 235 tyre's :happy2: Wee bit wide

Cheers Toast - they were my fav wheel of all for the MK5, but I was disappointed to see they didnt fit like I thought they would when I saw your pics
Is that the only size they come in, as this pic look like they sit better: Maybe it's just cos its lower?

Its because of the ride height they come into there own once its sitting nice i noticed it on Stepho's car as well.
-
Its defo down to how low the car sits. Had two of the other wheels in the boot and the rear looked slightly lowered and very nice!
That pic is taken on a slight hill so the rear looks ok but the front looks slightly raised. Awesome wheels when they catch the light in the evening. Might just hold onto them for a little while yet :driver:
-
They look fantastic. Audi S line alloys right? There is a beautiful A5 S-Line at work with them.

Not too sure (i know thats bad) but they are bbs sline 19" split rims... Im sure toast knows their exact name
-
I want an 18" set, decided that these are for me - It's just they seem like rockinghorse shat in 18"s. They're only £400 odd on ebay for 19"s too, meh.

Think your going to struggle to get them for £400 if they are genuine BBS
Would be interested to know where if you can point me in the right direction. thx
-
They are bbs rs861 split rims :happy2: Speedline and ronal also made them for Audi
And if they are on the bay for £400 they are either badly needing re-furbed, or replica rims (not genunie splits) As these are like rocking horse poop to find fresh and genuine

No you're right, reps definitely. Look the part though. Real S-Line ones must be £2k from Audi though? Some good quality reps can't be far off quality and build wise.
Just got the idea from these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/19-Audi-S-Line-Style-Alloy-Wheels-for-VW-Mk4-Golf-A3_W0QQitemZ280386286203QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET?hash=item414853327b&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

Thanks Toast, the search begins :happy2:

iirc a call to audi dealers confirmed that they are £565 per wheel.
So £2260 for a brand new set! Not to mention the top quality 19" Goodyear Eagle F1 Assyms Toast had fitted to them at a cost of about £500-600 im guessing :happy2:
-
absolutly gorgeous
-
Not a fan of them to be honest, must just be me!

I had those wheels albeit in 18" on my old A3, lovely wheels but a real pain in the arse to clean and the lips are really prone to corrosion, did look the mutts though...

Very nice!! i think someone was after the 18" version iirc.
However the middle of yours look slightly different
-
^ I made noises about an 18" set on a few threads mate, if they came up at the right price.
-

Yeah i think the offset is different on the 19's hence the dished effect to the centres?
-
Those are frikkin gorgeous. If only I had the cash....
-
Any idea where I might be able to pick up some VW centre caps??
-
Always loved these wheels... this was how mine sat last year
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.tuningwerkes.com%2Fimages%2Fwerkes04.JPG&hash=e517aa31d495659042f763128c921be75aad32eb)
Mine were 8.5*19s, although ive had the combo set too - 9s rear, 8.5s front too...although i didnt get these polished like the ones in the pic!
-
that does look :happy2:
-
Thanks.... that pic was before i added the 8mm Eibach spacers to the rear.
-
^ If not me, then I am too dude
Did you find any in the end or did your wheel quest take you elsewhere?
There's a set of these on ebay now for £640 delivered from Wales. Need a refurb to be perfect but they're ET54 :sad1:

That looks like a good deal, don't get many sets of these coming up on e-bay. I got mine for £565 with tyres but they all needed a full refurb, centres and lips. Still I was happy with the cost and the end result and here's how they look

^ Jealous tbh
That's a good price too. Is ebay my only hope?
