Title: Steering wheel problems - advice needed
Post by: Homer on July 19, 2013, 06:56:28 pm
Hi folks, I recently let my sister borrow the car and she returned it saying she had put air in one of the tyres as it looked flat. I then took the car for a drive and noticed the steering felt different; i.e. I was having to turn it a lot more i either direction for the car to turn how I wanted it to.

I then went to a petrol station and checked the air in the tyre- she had put it to 38 psi... anyway i put it to the right psi but this has not solved the problem. Now when the wheels are pointing straight the steering wheel sits a bit to the right.

what would be the easiest fix for this? Thanks.

So your sister hit a curb or a pot hole and thought she had best check tyre pressure so you don't notice anything, filled the tyre up too much.

Now your out of alignment and full of air!
