Title: Taking out the 7no Can Gateway

Hi guys just a quick question, if i were to take out the 7NO Can gateway installed on the car and replace it with its standard one would it need VCDS?

Short answer is no if you also put the original head unit back in. I assume you originally did the upgrade for possible battery drain problems with a rcd or rns 510 unit.

if standart one is from your car when no, if from another - yes.
