Title: Differences between Versions - RNS510
Post by: n17chm on July 22, 2013, 03:14:34 pm
I am interested in upgrading my RCD to an RNS and am slightly confused as to the differences between all the Versions, specifically from Version C - P..

Can anyone give me reasons for a later model over an early that would make a massive difference?

Thanks

Led screens started at around c. The rest of the upgrades are Firmware or bigger hard drive / processor power etc. Go for the highest version letter you can afford

Iv got a C version but non led but its now showing as a D version due to firmware upgrade

Im not overly concerned about the price of the unit, Im just trying to establish if its worth paying for a P when a D is basically the same thing with slightly different software (something which I think can be updated anyway).

I went from a B to a H and I don't think there was that much of a difference. Certainly not noticed anything significant.

Some of the very latest versions have DAB. Other than that you will need to be an expert to spot the difference between a Rev C and anything newer.

The led c versions have a button with a star logo on the far upper right corner.
