Hi Guys,
Had a stage 1 remap few months back at R-tech. I had a brand new turbo and the latest DV valve fitted at the same time.
I noticed that the hose coming off the PCV valce had a crack in it so I replaced this yesterday. The PCV valve itself seems to be fine.
However i've noticed over the past few weeks that my car doesn't seem to get boost as easily as it did when I first had it mapped.
When i used to speed up in 1st and second gear I could feel the car pull like a train and it didnt really take much for the boost to kick in. Even after just a little tap on the accelerator it seemed to kick in.
Now when I speed up it doesnt really seem to kick in unless I put my foot down hard on the accelerator. It kinda feels like its holding back.
I was just wondering what the possible cause of this could be?

The last 2 occasions when my throttle pipe had popped off, and I had a big boost leak, the car was kinda gone in limp mode when booting it. I had to disconnect battery to fix it for 5 minutes.
Maybe try it ?

I dunno if it's going into limp mode as it drives absolutely fine and still pulls a fair bit but just no where near as it did before.
If I disconnect battery for 5 minutes I won't lose my r tech remap will I?

You wont lose the map. :happy2:
Either try that or wait till you get someone with vag com to log the car for you.

I will give it a go. See how I get on with that first.
Then if it doesn't work I will take it to someone. Hope its nowt serious! lol

Does anyone have a guide how to log boost with VCDS? The only thing I know is that you have to do a few runs and live log it.

Tried the battery off for 5 minutes and no luck unfortunately.
There is no change. So frustrating! Just doesn't seem to have that pull. It seems to rev up quick but then doesn't really pull. I remember even when I wasn't even trying, the turbo just used to kick in very easy but now it seems like I really need to give the pedal a good press and quite quickly for it to get the same effect.
Hmm not happy!!

Strange but I'm having similar problems I had mine remapped a few weeks ago and it seemed much quicker then, I thought I was just getting used to it but it just doesn't have the urgency anymore, I'm going to update my DV hoping its that, the turbo still spools up fine and still pulls well but not as aggressive as before, I'll let you know if I find anything else but it is frustrating

I also thought that I could be getting used to it too, but I remember even when speeding up gently the turbo used to kick in sometimes and I had to ease off the accelerator as it would just want to just pull.
I had the dv changed at the beginning of the year so I dont think mine would be to do with that. However let me know Joe if you find anything else :)

The current warm weather will affect the performance to a degree also.

Well my service will be due at the end of the year so I will get them to check out any faults while its there.
Hopefully it's nothing major :)
