Brake sensor ligh has come on so presuming front pads need changing. Been quoted £139 for front and £139 for rear by vw dealer, is this about right? However, will their be a surprise when intake it in and they say rears need replacing along with the discs??? Any experiences if this happening and how do I check if discs need changing???

Ask them to price match someone local. Seat do fixed price servicing, using the same parts and it is much cheaper.
My VW price matched recent rear pad/brake fluid change.
VW quote rear pads £149, brake fluid, £69
Seat price rear pads £99, brake fluid £49
VW ok we will match it, but do the fluid for £45, so saved £74 :happy2:
Just google seat fixed price servicing then print it out, also find a close seat dealer if you are asked.
